The film is adapted from the true story of Paralympic champion Su Huaiwei. Born with cerebral palsy due to jaundice, Su Huaiwei was unable to stand or walk normally. However, his mother (played by Sandra Ng) did not give up. She not only helped her son to stand up but also discovered his talent for running. Su Huaiwei was eventually selected for the disabled track and field team, won the Paralympic championship, and broke world records.
