In the movie “Buffalo ’66,” the unfortunate Billy (played by Vincent Gallo) has served 5 years in prison as a stand-in for someone else, and today, he is released. However, his bad luck seems to have not ended yet. Right after being released, Billy urgently needs to use the restroom to urinate, but he is either met with closed facilities under maintenance or is refused entry; even when he sneaks behind a car to relieve himself, the car immediately drives away.
Billy’s relationship with his parents is not good, but he has always wanted to mend it. Even while in prison, Billy tried to keep it a secret from his family. He told them that he had been working hard outside for these 5 years, achieving success and fame, and promised to bring his girlfriend home. To fulfill this promise, he “kidnapped” a girl named Layla to act as his girlfriend.
