The movie “I Am Elizabeth Smart” depicts the real-life events of June 2002, where Elizabeth Ann Smart, played by Alana Boden, was a 14-year-old girl who was abducted from her home in Salt Lake City by a religious fanatic, Brian David Mitchell, portrayed by Skeet Ulrich. He took her to a hillside camp where, along with his twisted accomplice Wanda Barzee, played by Deirdre Lovejoy, they held Elizabeth captive. She was starved, drugged, sexually assaulted, and subjected to bizarre religious rituals until she managed to free herself after nine months.
